A Gig Harbor Engagement Session

I love seeing couples incorporate what’s special to them in their portrait sessions. From including their adorable dog to showing off their favorite football team, Michael and Jenna did just that!

We started at Michael’s mom’s house which has a stunning view of the Puget Sound and Mount Rainier. They wanted a few shots with the mountain in the background, so we started with those because there was a bit of cloud coverage over the top of the mountain. Thankfully, we did because not long after, the mountain was completely covered in clouds! For their second location, we headed over to Skansie Brothers Park in downtown Gig Harbor. We walked down to the end of Jerisich Dock where we took some of my favorite photos from the session! The dock was lined with boats which really adds to the maritime feel of the location.

For every engagement shoot, I always encourage my couples to have a dressier outfit and a more casual one. For a more casual look, Jenna and Michael (and their dog!) incorporated their California roots by repping their San Francisco 49ers gear. Thankfully, I’m just a bandwagon Seattle Seahawks fan, not a die hard fan, so team rivalry wasn’t an issue during the session. ;)
