A Rainy Day Gig Harbor Family Session

An extended family session in Gig Harbor

Extended family session at Skansie Brothers Park in downtown Gig Harbor

You know when you meet people and can instantly tell that they’re genuine? That’s exactly how I felt when meeting Ali and her family! From the moment I stepped into her and her husband Brad’s home for their session, the whole family was so kind and welcoming. They just seemed so genuinely happy to be together as a family and I think that’s reflected in their images.

This session was a gift for Ali’s mother-in-law Linda. Linda is usually the one taking photos so she isn’t often in them. As a photographer, I can definitely relate! With some of the family visiting from Wisconsin, this was the perfect time for an extended family session.

We started the session at Ali and Brad’s house and wrapped up at Skansie Brothers Park in downtown Gig Harbor. That morning it had been pouring down rain, but thankfully it had turned into a light sprinkle by the afternoon. Despite the cold and rain, everyone had such a cheerful attitude. It’s families like these that make my job so fun!

Enjoy some of my favorites from this sweet family’s session!

Ali, thank you so much for choosing me as your photographer. It was an absolute joy to work with you and your family!
